I'm not sure how many people know this but Kensington contracts out the MouseWorks software and the vendor has changed a couple of times over the past fifteen years. That version is called "TrackBallWorks" and updates the driver but did not have any user interface for assigning buttons. Microsoft Update pushed the new driver about four or five weeks ago.
